LCCC FAB Lab
Fab Labs were initially developed by Neil Gershenfeld of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a way to bring digital fabrication to the masses and to simplify the process of turning an idea into a product. The recently expanded LCCC FAB Lab features easy-to-use design software linked to cutting-edge production machinery including laser-powered cutters and etchers, table-top milling equipment, high-precision robotic routers and even high-end printers capable of creating 3D plastic parts. Think of it as a “technological sandbox” available to LCCC students, alumni and the public. For more information on LCCC’s FAB Lab, visit www.lorainccc.edu/fablab.
