Phase 2 - October 1 to December 1, 2014

SMART Campus Connector PHASE 2 is now underway. The intersection of Innovation Drive and the South Loop Drive is closed for re-construction. Please observe the road closed signs, detour signs and barricades.

Please drive slowly and use caution as traffic has been re-routed. It’s expected this intersection will be closed until December 1.

Phase 1 -  August 18 to September 30, 2014

This project, funded through resources restricted for resolving roadways and traffic safety problems on campus, will provide safer pedestrian connections between Spitzer/Stocker Centers and the Desich Centers for students, visitors, faculty and staff as more activities and classes are held in these facilities.

The work site for the first phase of the SMART Campus Connector will have a construction fence installed for your protection by Monday, August 18. The north half of the drive on the west side of Spitzer and the loop drive in front of Stocker will be closed until the first of October for re-construction.

The west entrance to Spitzer will remain open for pedestrian traffic only. The south Spitzer entrance loop and drop off will remain open.

All entries to Stocker will remain open but the loop drive drop off will be closed. A temporary drop off is noted on the attached map.

There will be changes to traffic patterns in the Spitzer lot 4 and in lots 2 and 3 south during this period. Watch for barricades, pavement markings and signage.

Please be careful when driving in the area.
