Enroll Ohio Event at LCCC

Lorain County Community College will host Enroll Ohio events Thursday, February 11.  

This event is part of Ohio's statewide "Enroll Ohio" month in February and will include events at colleges and learning centers throughout the state. Activities will include:

• Beyond the Mainstream
  1-3 p.m.
  Thriving in a Digital Media World. Dr. Debra Jasper and Betsy Hubbard from The Ohio State University’s John Glenn School of Public Affairs will provide this thought-provoking presentation that shows how universities and schools are using social media to reach students, parents, community leaders and others. This will give you an opportunity to learn more about the latest tools for student recruitment, building relationships and turning more Ohioans into Ohio alumni.
      
• Open Conversation with Chancellor Eric Fingerhut
  3:30–5 p.m.
  Participants will share their success with enrolling students and helping them stay in school. We’ll be using new technologies to collect participants’ input in real time -- and will use that feedback to shape the state’s approaches.
      
  Trustees, deans, professors, communicators, development officers and admissions staff  are encouraged to take part in these critical discussions, as well as leaders in your community who are interested in helping more people go to college (including leaders from local school districts, churches and civic organizations).
