THERE IS LIFE AFTER CAREER TRANSITION; LEARN FROM THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN THROUGH IT
If you are unemployed or expect to be in a career transition in the not-too-distant future, get some great tips on how to survive and thrive through this change from those who have done it.
Transitions, a networking group for business professionals, will sponsor a special session, “There is Life after Transition!” from 7-8:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 28 in room 228 of the College Center building at Lorain County Community College.
It will feature former Transitions participants who have successfully found new employment and have “graduated” from the Transitions program. “Who better to get job search tips from than those who have recently navigated the challenges that result from the loss of a job?” said Cyndi McCabe, of LCCC’s Employment and Career Services. “Although your situation is unique, it is not uncommon.”
The strategies, marketing techniques, and coping skills offered from the experience of these Transitions’ alumni might be very helpful in your career transition. There will also be time for a question and answer session.
Transitions, a free networking group for business professionals, is sponsored by Lorain County Community College. Transitions meetings feature short seminars on topics relevant to a successful job search, job leads and support, and time to make networking contacts. The group meets the second and fourth Monday of every month.
To register for the Jan. 28 session or for more information about Transitions, call 1-800-995-5222 (ext. 4076) or (440) 366-4076. Registrations can also be made online at http://www.lorainccc.edu/careers.
