FREE JOB SEARCH WORKSHOPS OFFERED AT LCCC WELLINGTON CENTER
Lorain County Community College’s Employment and Career Services office is hosting an open house and several job search workshops in April and May at its Wellington Center.
The open house and workshops are free and open to the public. The LCCC Wellington Center is located at 151 Commerce Drive in Wellington.
The open house is set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 12. Come in, tour the Wellington Center and find out about all of the educational opportunities available at the center.
The free job search workshops being held at the Wellington Center are:
- Résumés and Cover Letters: 2-3:30 p.m., Thursday, April 10 and 6-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 6. A resume is a personal marketing tool. It must clearly communicate qualifications to potential employers. Learn the key ingredients to a well-written resume and cover letter and how to make them stand out among the competition.
- Interviewing Skills: 2-3:30 p.m., Thursday, April 17 and 6-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 13. While it’s the résumé that gets you the interview, it’s the interview that gets you the job. The secret to performing well in an interview is to be prepared. Learn how to prepare yourself for the interview in this workshop.
- Job Search and Networking; 6-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 29. This workshop gives you tools and techniques for getting the job you want including how to use networking with friends, family and other contacts to help you achieve this goal.
