PUBLIC POLICY SPEAKER SERIES AT LCCC BRINGS IN STATE POLICY MAKERS

Lorain County Community College through its Public Services Institute presents the 2008 Public Policy at Mid-Day Series. This series will provide community leaders and the public opportunities to meet and have dialogue with state policy makers at the local level. 

“It is our goal that through information sharing, idea exchange, and knowledge building to strengthen each community and the region’s abilities to achieve positive results for the collective good of all,” said Shara Davis, director of LCCC’s Public Services Institute.

The upcoming Mid-Day Series speakers are:

  • Terry Thomas, Deputy Director of Workforce Development for the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 25 at LCCC’s Entrepreneurship Innovation Center, room 132. Lunch will be provided.
     
  • Dr. Alvin D. Jackson, M.D., Director of Ohio Department of Health from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friday, May 2 at LCCC’s Spitzer Conference Center. Lunch will be provided.
     
  • Dr. Susan Tave Zelman, Superintendent of Public Instruction, State of Ohio from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friday, May 23 at LCCC’s Stocker Arts Center Cinema Hall. Hors d’oeuvres will be provided.
