The program will feature a wide variety of musical styles from light classics to vocal jazz standards and spirituals.  The music will include  “Blue Skies,” Gershwin’s “I Got Rhythm,” “I’ll Be Seeing You” and many more beloved favorites.  Collegiate Chorale tenor, Nathaniel Gilkes, will be the featured soloist in the high energy spiritual, “Ride the Chariot.”

A special feature of the concert will be a combined choir performance of “The Lord Is My Shepherd” from John Rutter’s “Requiem.”  The Civic Chorale women will perform an additional setting of the 23rd Psalm from Bernstein’s “Chichester Psalms,” in Hebrew, with LCCC’s countertenor, Andrew Lipian. Lipian will be joined by soprano, Lydia Lee and the Civic Chorale for the truly beautiful, “Pie Jesu” from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Requiem.”

“Five Hebrew Love Songs” by Eric Whitacre, will round out the classical portion of the concert.  The combined tenor and bass sections of the Collegiate and Civic chorales will perform the incredible spiritual arrangement, “Swing Down Chariot” by Andre Thomas. The concert will conclude with the fast-paced spiritual, “Ezekiel Saw the Wheel.”
