HR Panel to Share “Inside” Tips for Job Seekers at Transitions Workshop

A panel of human resource professionals will share “inside” tips for job seekers that can help in crafting a successful job search at the Transitions workshop from 7-8:30 p.m., Monday, April 14 at Lorain County Community College.

The panel of human resource executives with decades of combined experience will address the issues that often mystify job seekers. These area experts will present advice on developing an effective communications plan, providing tips on interviewing, and discussing what recruiters and human resource managers look for in successful job candidates.

The panelists are:

  • Kathleen Lesner Hall, Director of Human Resources, Nordson Corporation
  • Rod Braye, President of The Braye Group, a human resources/human capital consulting organization 
  • Wendy Matthews, Director of Human Resources and Volunteer Services, the American Red Cross, Greater Cleveland Chapter 
  • Dan Miller, Vice President of Human Resources for EMH Regional Healthcare System

Transitions, a free networking group for area business professionals, is sponsored by Lorain County Community College’s Employment and Career Services office. Transitions meetings feature short seminars on topics relevant to a successful job search, the sharing of job leads and support, and networking contacts.  The group meets from 7-8:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Monday of each month in room 228 of the LCCC College Center building.
