Cool Cats will Enjoy Concert by the LCCC Civic Jazz Band at Stocker Arts Center

The Brass are shoutin', the saxes are riffin', the piano's compin', the bass is walkin' and the soloist is surfin'! What's it all mean? Find out when Lorain County Community College’s Civic Jazz Band performs its first show of the season at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, November 21 at LCCC’s Stocker Arts Center.

Tickets are $7 for adults; $6 for LCCC students, staff and seniors; and $5 for groups of 15 or more. Tickets may be purchased online at www.lorainccc.edu/stocker, or by calling the Stocker Arts Center box office at (440) 366-4040 or 800-995-5222 (ext. 4040) from 12-6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tickets are also available at the box office, located in the lobby of the Stocker Arts Center.

Directed by Jeff Meyers, the concert is performed by students in the coolest class on campus, Big Band 101. Meyers has lead the band for the past 11 years and helped it grow into one of the premier jazz bands in the region.
