SINGERS NEEDED IN ALL VOICE PARTS FOR COLLEGIATE CHORALE AND CIVIC CHORALE AT LORAIN COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Lorain County Community College announces openings for sopranos, altos, tenors and basses in the Collegiate Chorale and the Civic Chorale for the 2009-2010 season.
New members may join Civic Chorale and earn college credit or join as an activity without paying the credit fees.
For those seeking college credit, Collegiate Chorale (MUSC 111) meets from 12-12:50 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays beginning September 17. A select ensemble is auditioned from the membership in Collegiate Chorale (MUSC 165) the first week of classes. Civic Chorale (MUSC 101) meets from 7:30-9:30 p.m., Mondays beginning September 14. Rehearsals are held in room 140 of the Stocker Arts Center.
The 31st Annual Choral Concert Series includes the Holiday Concert and will feature Bach's "Magnificat," excerpts from Handel’s "Messiah," Renaissance madrigals, and traditional holiday favorites; the Masterwork Concert will feature Poulenc's "Gloria," and the Spring Choral Spectacular! will feature light classics and music from a variety of styles in the popular culture.
