“The Wedding Singer” to Rock Out Stocker Arts Center
Return to a time when hair was big, collars were up and a wedding singer just might be the coolest guy in the room. Remember the Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore movie? Well now you can see the rockin’ stage musical “The Wedding Singer” at 7:30 p.m., Monday, October 5 at Lorain County Community College’s Stocker Arts Center.
Ticket are $27 and $34 each and can be ordered online at www.lorainccc.edu/stocker, or by calling the Stocker Arts Center box office at 800-995-5222 (ext. 4040) from 12-6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Tickets are also available at the box office, located in the lobby of the Stocker Arts Center.
It's 1985, and rock-star wannabe Robbie Heart, is New Jersey's favorite wedding singer. He's the life of the party, until his own fiancé leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding as disastrous as his own. When he meets Julia, an admiring young waitress, it's love at first sight. Only trouble is Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and unless Robbie can pull off the performance of a decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever! “The Wedding Singer” rocks out with pop songs of the 1980s.
