Nanny Academy Families Needed

PRACTICUM FAMILIES NEEDED FOR NEW LCCC NANNY ACADEMY

The new Nanny Academy at Lorain County Community College is in need of practicum families to host nanny students.

The Professional Nanny Academy Short Term Technical Certificate will begin in January 2013. It will be the only professional nanny program on the west side of Cleveland. Practicum families are needed to host students from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Fridays throughout the 21-week program.  Nanny candidates will be required to have background checks, physicals, liability insurance, references and complete an interview.

Families who wish to participate must have an adult present to serve as a role model. Practicum families will be required to complete an application, have a background check and a brief home visit. For more information, contact Kathy Head, Ph. D., coordinator of LCCC’s Early Childhood Education program, at (440) 366-7167 or khead@lorainccc.edu.
