MIDPOINT CAMPUS CENTER TO OFFER MASSAGE THERAPY PROGRAM

Midpoint Campus Center will now offer a Massage Therapy program from Stark Stake College.

Information sessions for the new program will be held from 12-2 p.m., Wednesday, June 19 and from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, July 18 at Midpoint Campus Center in Brunswick.

“The job outlook for massage therapists is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations, leading to new openings for massage therapists,” said Jack Beacon, SSC massage therapy program coordinator. “We’re excited to bring our massage therapy program to Midpoint Campus Center, training massage therapists for jobs in a variety of settings, from spas to hospitals.”

Massage therapists in Ohio complete a postsecondary program that requires 750 hours of study and experience and subsequent licensure by the state’s medical board.
