Volleyball and Cross Country Tryouts

JOIN THE LCCC VOLLEYBALL OR CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS

The Lorain County Community College women’s volleyball team and the cross country team are looking for student athletes to compete in the 2013 season.

The LCCC women’s volleyball team will hold open tryouts from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Thursday, August 1 and Friday, August 2; and from 9-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 3. All tryouts will be held in the Ewing Center Fieldhouse on the LCCC campus.

Students who wish to try out for the volleyball team must be high school graduates or have earned a GED. Players must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours at LCCC for fall semester and may not be playing for another junior college team at the time of the tryout. Those interested in joining the team must bring to the tryout a physical exam, dated within the past six months and signed by a physician, and unofficial or official high school or junior college transcripts.

Those interested in trying out for the volleyball team should contact LCCC volleyball coach Marc Pogachar at mpogachar@lorainccc.edu.

Men and women interesting in joining the LCCC cross country team may attend an informational meeting at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, August 1 in the PE building. Runners will not be able to participate in practice until all varsity sports forms have been completed.
