All 151/152 students MUST attend an orientation prior to working out in the Fitness Center. |
The LCCC Fitness Center is one of the most "active" places on campus. Located within the Physical Education building, the center is open seven days a week (during Fall & Spring Terms). Individuals taking classes or just wishing to remain or become fit find it the place to be.
The Fitness Center serves as LCCC's classroom for Lifetime Fitness, which is a program that can be taken as a credit or non-credit course. It has sections and orientations for many age groups. It continues to be a popular class on campus.
Whatever the reason for participation, the Fitness Center offers many benefits for those seeking optimum health and wellness.
Beginning Fall Term 09, any LCCC student currently enrolled in a credit course AND who has completed any one of the following courses may have access to the Fitness Center (exludes FitLinxx): PEFT 151, PEFT 152, PEFT 153, PEFT 154, PEFT 155 or four sessions with a personal trainer. Registration begins the 2nd week of the term in the HPER Division office, PE 104. The specified hours for these sessions are as follows: Mon-Fridays 6:30-8:30am; 11am-1pm; 5pm-closing. Saturdays 8am-2pm & Sundays 11am-2pm.
