Faculty & Staff Access

Faculty & Staff Access to the

LCCC Fitness Center, Field House & Track

LCCC promotes healthy lifestyles by offering FREE use of the HPER Program facilities to LCCC faculty and staff.  This includes adjunct faculty currently teaching and part-time staff.  Retirees, spouses, and dependents may also use the facilities.

All faculty and staff are required to complete a participation waiver form each semester prior to accessing any of the facilities. Forms may be obtained at the Welcome Desk outside of the Fitness Center.  Presentation of a LCCC staff ID is required.

Orientation to the LCCC Fitness Center is strongly encouraged.  These orientations are available in individual or group sessions (up to 4 people).  To schedule an orientation with one of LCCC's certified personal trainers, contact Taryn Taylor at ttaylor@lorainccc.edu

Faculty and staff also have access to the FitLinxx Circuit by paying $10 a semester and completing a  required orientation.  Payment can be made at the instructor station in the Fitness Center.  Cash (exact change) and check (payable to LCCC) are accepted.  To schedule an orientation for the FitLinxx Circuit, contact Doug Herndon at 366-7350 or dherndon@lorainccc.edu

Locker rooms and showers are available for use in two locations.  Free locker use and showers are located inside of the Fitness Center.  These lockers are day use only.  Private lockers available for rent are located in the team locker rooms.  The cost is $20 per semester.  To rent a locker or make a renewal payment, visit PE 104.  Individual locks must be brought by each member.  Towels may be obtained at the Welcome Desk.

LCCC faculty, staff, retirees, spouses, and eligible dependents may access the facilities during break hours of normal day operation by having an HPER Program staff member open the facility.  All faculty and staff must have another LCCC faculty, staff, retiree, spouse, or eligible dependent accompany them in the facility.  No one is permitted access alone during break hours.

For more information, contact the HPER Program office at (440) 366-4028.
