Author Series I

E. G. (Jay) Ruoff is a native of Cincinnati. He is a graduate of Ohio University, Syracuse University and the University of North Carolina. During World War II he served in the Marine Corps in the Pacific and China. He retired from the State Department’s Foreign Service in 1982 after twenty-five years that included tours of duty in Pakistan, France, Vietnam, Laos, Turkey and Mali. He has spent part of his retirement years as mayor of Peninsula, Ohio and writing five books. He presently lives in Lorain County.

Jewelry Making

Susan Benko's interest in jewelry making began with her Wisconsin high school silversmithing classes. After earning her BA at Baldwin Wallace College, she taught high school and middle school art. Then she worked in the photographic industry for 20 years. For the past 8 years she has been concentrating on beaded jewelry design and precious metal clay. Her work has been shown at several area galleries.
