Public Service and Law Enforcement Careers
LCCC offers many certificate training programs that help you learn new career skills in a hurry. The short-term training opportunities are perfect for those who want to train for a good job, but aren't able to commit to long-term education or training.
Plus, credits earned for many of these programs can be applied to related LCCC associate's degree and LCCC University Partnership bachelor's degree programs.

One-Year Technical Certificates
Coursework typically takes one year to complete and transfers into the related associate degree program.
Police Science (32/34 credits)
The objective of the Certificate Program is to supply current information and knowledge to the police science fields to individuals already employed as criminal justice officers or persons who are preparing themselves for full or part-time employment in a local police agency.
Public Administration (34 credits)
Offers opportunities for individuals to learn how to be effective and efficient in work settings and roles in the public sector or in the non-profit organization.
LCCC Police Training Academy (640 hours of instruction)
Prepares students to take the required Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission (OPOTC) certification test for the position of Police Officer. Graduates may be awarded up to 12 hours of credit toward the LCCC Police Science degree.
