Climate

Average temperatures in the winter range from -7 to 0 C and in the summer 16 to 28 C.

Geography

The college is located in Elyria, a suburb of 30,000 residents within a half-hour drive from Cleveland, a major metropolitan area. Elyria is just a few miles from Lake Erie, one of the five Great Lakes and the border between the U.S. and Canada. Area residents enjoy boating, fishing, and swimming. In the winter, the local parks offer cross-country skiing, ice-skating, snow-shoeing, sledding and more. Downhill skiing is available within an hour's drive.
