Procedure for Repeating a Course

As part of LCCC’s student success and completion initiatives, students who have earned a grade of D, F or W in the same course two or more times must receive special permission to retake the course. Before permission can be granted, students must provide Lorain County Community College with information that explains why the student believes he or she will be successful if granted permission to retake the course. Please begin by identifying the Academic Division that houses the course you wish to repeat.

 

Allied Health and Physical Education
If the course you wish to repeat contains ALHN, EMSB, FIRE, HLED, HPED, PEDF, PEFT, PESP, or PEWL, in the course abbreviation, please Click Here.

Arts and Humanities
If the course you wish to retake contains ARTS, CHNS, CMMC, CULN, DANC, ENGL, ESLG, GRMN, HUMS, JRNM, MUSA, MUSC, PHLY, RDST, RELG, RSCH, SPNH, TCMN, or THTR in the course abbreviation, please Click Here.

Engineering, Business and Information Technologies
If the course you wish to repeat contains ACTG, AETC, ALET, AOIS, AVIA, BADM, BANK, CADD, CAMM, CGSD, CISS, CMNW, CMPR, CNST, ELCT, EMCH, ENGR, ENTR, FNCE, MEMS, MKRG, QLTY, TECN, TRSM or WTEC in the course abbreviation, please Click Here.

Science and Math
If the course you wish to repeat contains ASTY, BIOG, CHMY, CMPR, MTHM, PHYC, PSSC, or SAGR in the course abbreviation, please Click Here.

Social Sciences

LCCC to Undergo Quality Review

Lorain County Community College is seeking comments from the public about the College in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency.

The College will host a visit March 21-23, 2016, with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).  The team will review the institution's ongoing ability to meet HLC’s Criteria for Accreditation.
