These discussions will provide important information about how LCCC can best meet training needs and talent develop in the region with a focus on the following initiatives:

  • The first initiative is regarding LCCC’s  grant to purchase welding equipment. This grant will be utilized to assist employers to provide training to maintain a skilled and knowledgeable workforce. The College currently has a mobile training lab and is considering the purchase of an additional portable lab. Your participation in this discussion will help LCCC provide the right equipment to meet your workforce training needs.
  • The second initiative is a statewide consortium of Ohio community colleges called Ohio TechNET that has organized to accelerate strategies for meeting the talent needs of employers in advanced manufacturing and in Ohio’s growing innovation economy. The discussion will focus on strategies to help adults in transition prepare for immediate and critical job openings as part of a strategy to fill the talent pipeline.
