The Great Lakes Innovation and Development Enterprise

An Edison Technology Incubator

LCCC has developed a public/private partnership with the Lorain County Commissioners and the Lorain County Chamber of Commerce to create the Great Lakes Innovation and Development Enterprise (GLIDE).

Glide LogoGLIDE is staffed with business-development specialists who will meet with you to discuss your idea. There is no charge for the initial consultation. We will review your situation, identify the services you need and direct you to resources that can help bring your idea to life. GLIDE also offers fee-based advanced business services.

From idea formulation, business structure, strategic planning and everything in between, GLIDE gives you access to the services you need.

Lorain County Community College and its University Partnership provide a complete educational pathway for entrepreneurs.

  • Certificate of Proficiency in Entrepreneurship
    This certificate gives opportunities to learn about and develop entrepreneurial skills. The entire certificate in entrepreneurship is accepted in the associate of applied business – entrepreneurship major.  This certificate helps you can get started right now, with the option of additional instruction when you need it. 

  • Associate of Applied Business – Entrepreneurship 
    As Ohio's only two-year degree program in Entrepreneurship, students can build their entrepreneurial skills to run their own business or work within a larger organization.

  • Bachelor of Business Administration – Business Management
    From Kent State University through LCCC's University Partnership. 
    Provides students with the credentials important to get that first manager-level job, as an entrepreneur or within a larger organization. 

  • Continuing education courses from LCCC
    A wide range of courses provide training in business startup, financing, marketing, computers, HR development and much more are available.

LCCC to Undergo Quality Review

Lorain County Community College is seeking comments from the public about the College in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency.

The College will host a visit March 21-23, 2016, with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).  The team will review the institution's ongoing ability to meet HLC’s Criteria for Accreditation.
