The John A. Spitzer Conference Center

The John A. Spitzer Conference Center enables Lorain County Community College to provide adults with opportunities for corporate education and training, professional development and other forms of continuing education through access to conferences, seminars, workshops and professional meetings. It complements and capitalizes on the large group presentation facilities available in the Stocker Humanities and Fine Arts Center and leverages resources from outside the district to expand learning and development opportunities for area residents.

Meeting your organization's needs
In an era when most working adults receive further education through conferences, workshops, seminars, short courses and professional meetings, the capacity to deliver conferencing for Lorain County substantially expands Lorain County Community College's ability to fulfill its goal of providing further education to an increased number of community residents.

This multipurpose building is designed to meet several pressing needs for Lorain County Community College and surrounding counties. It provides break-out rooms, food service facilities and multipurpose space which, when combined with Stocker Center's large group theater seating configurations, creates a professional conference center for the region. Funding for the John A. Spitzer Conference Center was provided through a public/private partnership, which includes State legislative appropriations, private philanthropic support and local resources.

The Spitzer Conference Center is staffed by professionals who will handle every detail of your conference, business meeting or seminar. They can draw upon the expertise of those within the college like the Public Services Institute to develop your program, or provide an expert on a wide variety of topics from our Nord Advanced Technologies Center, Business, Allied Health and Nursing, Social Science and Human Services, or Arts and Humanities divisions. Whether your needs include conference or meeting programming, catering services or just facility rental, our staff at the Spitzer Conference Center will be pleased to work with you to develop an effective program to meet your goals.

The Conference Center at Lorain County Community College is dedicated in honor of John A. Spitzer, 1917-1992, in recognition of his inspirational leadership in our community. This Center symbolizes his commitment to entrepreneurism and belief in Lorain County Community College to help others realize their dreams.
