Campus Security Notice

During the past month, the Campus Security Office has received five reports of vehicle break-ins where windows were smashed and GPS devices were stolen. The parking lots targeted were Lots 2, 3 and 5 South and 6 North. The break-ins occurred between the hours of 1pm and 8pm.
Campus Security officers will be conducting increased mobile patrols but we need your help. Please contact Campus Security immediately if you witness any suspicious vehicles or activity in the parking lots by calling 366.4053 or 366.4444. Campus Security officials would also like to remind campus community members to
- Never leave valuables or other items (book bags, purses, books, GPS devices, IPods, etc.) in plain sight
- Store electronic devices in your locked glove compartment or take them with you
- Remove mounting devices for GPS units from windshields and place them in your locked glove compartment
- Engrave/mark your personal property with your driver’s license number or something similar to facilitate identification if it’s recovered during an investigation
- Contact Campus Security immediately if you see something suspicious or know something
