LCCC Alerts Safety and Security Program

"LCCC Alerts” Safety and Security Program

As part of the College’s commitment to safety and security, we are continuing with our “LCCC Alerts” program in an effort to continue to create awareness, promote security and ensure a safe campus.

Last summer, we collaborated with the Elyria Police Department to conduct simulated training exercises in various buildings on campus.  In an effort to continue this collaboration, Elyria Police officers will once again have a presence on our campus.  This new effort will include the presence of uniformed and non-uniformed officers conducting guided tours of all LCCC facilities and tunnel areas in an effort to familiarize the officers with our facility layouts.  Police officers will be conducting tours starting at approximately 3 pm on April 20, 22, 23 and 28.

There will also be a simulated building search exercise conducted at the duration of the tour.  Weapons and simulated gun shots will NOT be a part of this exercise.  The building search exercise is expected to commence at approximately 6 or 7 pm.

Our goal throughout this academic year has been to continually enhance our campus safety and raise awareness through “LCCC Alerts,” and we will communicate with you as new initiatives are implemented.
