Techie Camp GirlThrough fun and engaging experiences with Scratch, from MIT Media Lab, students learn how to create their own interactive art, stories and games.

Students in Techie Camp: ES Programming will use Scratch, developed the MIT Media Lab, to learn the concepts of computer programming by using a simple graphical interface. Students will create their own interactive art, interactive stories and games…watch as cars explode after traveling at great speeds or see fire-breathing dragons morph into gorgeous, long-haired fairy princesses who go onto marry the handsome prince! The camp will encourage the students to think about complex ideas and concepts rationally and logically. Why didn’t the dog behave like I wanted? Or, how can I fix that problem so that it doesn’t happen again? Techie Camp® is a TECH CORPS program.
