About Us

The Black River Audubon Society is the Lorain County chapter of the National Audubon Society.

The mission of the organization is to promote conservation and restoration of ecosystems, focusing on birds and other wildlife through advocacy, education, stewardship and field trips.

Informative programs/meetings are held monthly from September through May with special guest speakers.  Frequent field trips are sponsored to prime birding sites in Lorain County and to unique birding sites throughout northern Ohio.
