Working with Apps

Installing Apps

Apps are downloaded from the “App Store” 

Main Screen

You can search through the apps by typing what you are looking for in the search box in the top right-hand corner.

You can also browse apps by using any of the icons on the bottom of the App Store Screen.

When you see an app that you want to download, tap on the App icon. Select App

You can then download the app by tapping the icon directly below the app icon. This will read either “Free” or it will have the price of the app.

The icon will change to a green “Install App” icon. Tap this icon to download the app.

  • Enter your AppleID, and password

The app will begin to load on your home screen

Deleting an App 

  • Tap and hold the icon of the app that you want to delete
  • The apps will begin to shake, and they will now have an X on the top left hand corner of the app.
  • Tap the X, and confirm the deletion of the app.

Closing apps that are running 

  • Double Tap the Home button, and a taskbar will open up at the bottom of your screen 
  • Tap and hold the icon of the app that you want to close

The apps will begin to shake, and they will have a red “-“ symbol on the top left hand corner of the app.

  • Tap the “-“ symbol to close the app

Changing the location of Apps on the Home Screen 

  • Tap and hold any icon the home screen
  • The apps will begin to shake 
  • Tap and Drag the apps anywhere on the screen to relocate them
