Honors and Awards Nominations
The Annual Honors and Awards Leadership Gala is a special event which recognizes and celebrates the achievements of students, faculty and staff involved with Lorain County Community College. This year’s event will be held on May 14th, 2008 in the Stocker Arts Center beginning 5:30 pm.
This event is sponsored by the Division of Health Physical Education Recreation and Student Life as well as the Student Senate. The awards represent achievement in the areas of scholarship, leadership, campus community involvement and educational contribution to learning. Students being honored are from both the Lorain County Community College and University Partnership programs.
We invite you to be a part of this process by taking a moment to review the nomination forms and nominate someone you believe fits the criteria. Nominations are to be received in the Student Life Office by April 25th, 2008. Nominations will be forwarded to a selection committee representing the campus community for each award. A winner will be determined based on the information provided on the nomination forms, personal interviews, recommendations and where appropriate, academic record. Nominees and guests are invited to attend the Honors and Awards Program, where the winners are announced.
The Honors and Awards is a special program to recognize the struggle and celebrate the joy of achievement with our campus community. We look forward to your participation in this event.
