Carl D. Perkins

Disability Services is funded in part by the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act which provides federal support for career and technical programs throughout the U.S., linking academic and technical content across secondary and post-secondary education.

This funding is named after Carl D. Perkins and its primary aim is to increase the quality of technical education within the U.S. in order that the economy is positively impacted. This Act was first authorized by the federal government in 1984.
