ECED 273, Parent Involvment

This class will be delivered using the ANGEL course management system.  After registering, read the webpage "How to Use ANGEL For Your Course".  Be sure to watch the ANGEL Video Tutorials.  Internet courses cannot be accessed until the first day of the term.  Once your class begins you must log on to participate.

1. This course is 8 weeks in length.
2. All assignments must be completed by a date to be announced.
3. This course is made up of 8 weekly journal articles and 8 writing assignments
that relate to text reading and/or handouts.
4. Journal articles are worth 10 points each, writing assignments are worth a
variety of points.
5. I deduct points if your answers are vague and do not reflect that you have
read the text and/or handouts. There are not any tests for this course.
6. I will NOT take a hard copy of any assignment. Do not show up at my office
and say I couldn’t get this in on time. I will not accept it. It defeats the whole
philosophy of distance education.
7. To be successful in this type of course, you need to be self-motivated and
organized. Set aside a specific time to answer the questions. In the past,
students who did not do this sometimes forgot they had work to do since they
don’t have to literally show up in this class and they received a “0” for no
work.
