There are also ANGEL Video Tutorials you can watch that demonstrate how to use ANGEL.
Internet courses cannot be accessed until the first day of your class. Once your class begins you must log on to participate.
All assignments and exams for this course are to be submitted through the Internet.
Required textbook: AutoCAD 2007 A Problem-Solving Approach by Sham Tickoo
Required software: AutoCAD 2007
The textbook and software are available as a bundle in the bookstore. The version of the software bundled with the book has a one-year limit. If you have access to AutoCAD 2007, you may also buy just the book. The bookstore also carries a separate AutoCAD 2007 Student Version perpetual License, which allows you to continue to use the software for as long as you are a student.
Because you must be able to run AutoCAD, the minimum hardware and software requirements are higher than for most other internet courses. They are:
- Intel Pentium IV processor recommended
- MicrosoftWindows XP Professional or Home Edition (SP1 or SP2) Windows XP Tablet PC Edition (SP2), or Windows 2000 (SP3 or SP4)
- 512 MB RAM
- 750 MB free disk space for installation
- 1024x768 VGA with true color
- Mouse, trackball, or compatible pointing device
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 (SP1 or higher)
- CD-ROM drive
Due to the highly technical nature of the course material, this course tends to be more difficult for many students than the same course taken in a classroom environment. If you have any reservations about your ability to learn technical concepts without the interaction offered in the classroom setting, you should consider registering for one of the non-internet sections of this course.
Please contact the instructor by email before class starts if you have any questions about the course.
