Firefox 4 - Release update channel
The final version of the release update channel is supported. To check if Firefox is up to date.
Under the Help Menu select About Firefox.
1. Confirm that Firefox is up to date.
2. Confirm you are on the release update channel.
When contacting ANGEL support you will be expected to know where these things are:
- The address bar
- Tools menu
- Options
Locate them using this graphic.
To bring up the Tools menu strike the ALT key on your keyboard. If it does not work then make sure that Firefox is the active program by clicking on it.
Notice that some letters are underlined for example, File, Edit, View, Bookmarks, Tools,and Help
These represent keyboard shortcuts Try Striking ALT then T then O
These are the Options Tabs they are used to navigate to find most of the Firefox settings.
Verify these settings are correct for best compatability.
Set Browser Cache
1. Select Tools then choose Options.
2. Select the Advanced tab.
3. Select the Network sub-tab.
4. Check the box next to Override automatic cache management.
5. For the Limit cache to____ MB of space
6. We suggest you insert a number 1.
7. Click OK.
Enable Cookies
1. Select Tools then choose Options.
2. Select the Privacy tab.
3. Under History
4. Select Firefox will: Remember history
5. Click OK
Enable Javascript
1. Select Tools then choose Options.
2. Select the Content Tab.
3. Select Enable Javascript.
4. Click OK.
Disable Pop-Up Blockers
1. Select Tools then choose Options.
2. Select the Content tab.
3. Either uncheck Blick pop-up windows(not recommended) or click Exceptions... and add angel.lorainccc.edu
4. Either click close or ok.
