CISS 121, Microcomputer Applications I

(16 Week Class – Begins January 14)
This course will require the following software: Explorer 7.0, Windows XP, Microsoft Word 2007, Microsoft Excel 2007, and PowerPoint 2007. Students are required to come on campus once for the final exam. It is possible to go to a testing center for those students who live beyond a two hour drive from LCCC.
This course will be delivered using the ANGEL course management system. After registering, read the webpage "How to Use ANGEL For Your Course". Be sure to watch the ANGEL Video Tutorials. Internet courses cannot be accessed until the first day of the term. Once your class begins you must log on to participate.
CISS 122, Microcomputer Applications II

(16 Week Class – Begins January 14)
This course requires the following software: Microsoft Outlook 2007, Quicken 2007 Deluxe, and Adobe Photoshop CS 8.0 (Free 30 day trial included with textbook. DO NOT install trial software until instructor tells you or you may have to purchase the software at a cost of approximately $300 or use a college computer lab containing the software to complete the assignments). Older versions of these software packages may not allow students to complete assignments properly. Microsoft Word or another word processing program is necessary. Word processing software other than Word must permit the user to save files in .doc format.
One on-campus computer lab experience will be held at the end of the semester. Attendance at this session is a required component of the course. In some circumstances, a proctored exercise or test may be administered off campus.
