• View the links on the left-hand side of this page for information about career counseling, resume assistance, and more. A good place to start is "Tips for Success," which provides sample resumes, cover letters and more. Another great service available is the "Online Job Listing System". 

• Optimal Resume is a Web-based, interactive system that enables you to create, present and manage your resume. To begin, just click here, and then click on "Get Started."  For more helpful hints click here, or for a step-by-step guide to using Optimal Resume click here.
   
• Transitions is a free networking group to support area professionals in search of a new job or career change. Transitions provides short seminars, networking contacts, job leads and support. The group meets the second and fourth Monday of each month, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Click here to learn more about Transitions. 

Life After Teaching…

There is life after teaching. Through your experiences as a teacher, you have developed many wonderful skills that can be useful in another career, and attractive to a future employer. Take a few moments to consider how to identify these “transferable skills” and to become familiar with the some of the areas where former teachers have used their skills to build successful new careers.
