HPER Noncredit  Fitness Classes

Full-time employees have the opportunity to use fee waivers for the HPER Division’s non-credit fitness classes. 

Instructional fees for any combination of credit and/or non-credit courses offered by Lorain County Community College will be waived for up to an amount equal to the cost of nine credit hours per semester for full-time employees. Instructional fee waivers cannot however be used for the HPER Division’s Personal Training course. Special personal training fee waivers are instead available. For more information regarding these special waivers, please refer to the Personal Training Fee Waiver/Registration section on this web site.

To be eligible for instructional fee waivers, an individual must be employed full-time by the college at the time of registration with the expectation that his/her employment will continue for the remainder of the semester for which he/she will be enrolled. An employee whose employment terminates prior to the completion of the semester will be required to refund the fees waived.

The employee will be responsible to pay any non-instructional fees associated with each course, such as general, technology, and/or laboratory fees, books, and material costs.

Instructional fees for retirees and the spouses and dependent children of current full-time employees will also be waived for all non-credit courses offered by LCCC, up to an amount equal to the cost of nine credit hours per semester, with the exception of the Personal Training course. Special personal training fee waivers are instead available.

Retirees and the spouses and dependent children of current full-time employees will be responsible to pay any non-instructional fees associated with each course, such as general, technology, and/or laboratory fees, books and material costs.

Employees/spouses/dependent children/retirees who are interested in requesting fee waivers for the non-credit HPER fitness classes should:

  • Register for the course(s) and obtain a class schedule from the student enrollment services office in the Connections Center.
  • Complete an Instructional Fee Waiver form (available below) and attach a copy of their class schedule. Employees, their spouses and dependent children should have the Instructional Fee Waiver form signed by the employee’s Unit Administrator/Dean. Retirees should obtain authorization from the Controller’s Office.
  • Take the Instructional Fee waiver form to the Financial Services Center for waiver of instructional fees and payment of non-instructional fees.

Exterior Campus Lighting Project

Work will begin Monday morning on replacing the light fixtures on the west loop road (main road in front of the College. Workers will be installing  new fixtures from the north and south ends concurrently. The road will be partially blocked in order to do the work.
