Bring the Commodore Duck Into the 21st Century Contest
A recent survey of Lorain County Community College students, staff and faculty resulted in 600 responses indicating that the LCCC Commodore Duck Mascot needs an update.
The LCCC Mascot Project Group is having a contest to determine what the new LCCC Commodore Duck should look like for the 21st Century.
Any student or employee of Lorain County Community College may submit a drawing/design of the mascot electronically by completing the form below.
- The submissions must be in color and be no larger than a normal 8.5 x 11” sheet of paper when opened.
- In addition, a short essay with no more than 300 words must accompany the drawing/design answering the following questions:
- What changes have been made to the Commodore Duck?
- Why do these changes reflect a 21 Century LCCC Mascot?
- How does this updated Mascot reflect the mission of LCCC?
- Why should this design be chosen over any other entries?
- Deadline for entries is April 4, 2008.
- All of the entries will be reviewed by the Mascot Project Committee. The top five entries will be presented to Operations Council on April 14, 2008. The winner will be chosen at that time.
- The winner will receive an Ipod.
- The winner will be announced the week of April 21.
