LCCC/UP Student Application for Employment

Includes Federal Work Study and Institutional Employment

Student Employment Eligibility Policy

Students applying for employment:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age, or a high school graduate, received a GED certificate or equivalent, or be enrolled in a post secondary enrollment options program.  If you’ are under 18 and have not graduated from high school you must have a work permit.
     
  • Must be enrolled and currently taking classes each term for the academic year (Fall and Spring Terms).  Must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.00.
     
  • May work up to an average of 20 hours per week for each pay period during the academic year and average of 37 ½ hours per week for each pay period during Summer term.  You may also work an average of 37 ½ hours per week for each pay period during semester breaks.

*Students employed as student workers cannot also be employed as part-time staff. You may do one or the other.

Student employment eligibility is based on fulfilliment of all of the above requrements.

I understand that I must be enrolled and attend at least one credit hour during Summer Semester or be assigned to Public Employees Retirement System (PERS).  I further understand that if I am working during Summer Term and not enrolled, I must enroll and attend Fall Semester to be eligible for Summer employment.
