Summer Acceleration Scholarship

Summer Acceleration Scholarship Information

Studies show that students who continuously attend classes, rather than stopping out during summer term, have a greater rate of successfully completing their academic goals.  In support of that, LCCC has created the Summer Acceleration Scholarship for selected students who meet the scholarship criteria.

Eligibility

To be eligible, a student must meet all of the following:

  • FAFSA on file for the applicable year
  • Be a currently-enrolled LCCC student
  • Be maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress
  • Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA at the time of awarding.
  • Register for at least 6 degree-required credit hours for the summer term
  • Not be Pell eligible for the summer term
  • Earned at least 15 and not more than 21 credit hours at LCCC
  • Submit completed Summer Acceleration Scholarship application
  • Submit documentation of costs of required books for summer term*

The Summer Acceleration Scholarship award will pay tuition and fees for up to 6 hours of coursework at LCCC during summer term and up to $300 for documented required book expenses.

Awards will be made on a first-come, first-awarded basis. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

The 2014 application deadline has passed.  Please check this page in Spring 2015 for updated information.
