TEAP Information Sessions

The TEAP Program
Congratulations to Unique Wares and Michelle Markovich!  They are our two luck winners of the IPod Shuffle that were randomly selected for attending one of the final nine TEAP Information Sessions that took place during the dates of December 29, 2008 – January 16, 2009. The random selection drawing occurred on February 4, 2009 in the Financial Services Center.

If you've received a letter from LCCC inviting you to a TEAP information session, be sure to RSVP. You may be eligible for up to $900 from the TEAP financial aid program for Spring Semester 2009.  Students that are selected into the TEAP program for Spring Semester 2009 may also be eligible to receive an additional amount for up to $900 during the 2009 Fall Semester.   TEAP stands for the TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) Educational Awards Program.

TEAP is a new incentive program designed to encourage low-income students in pursuing education and training beyond high school and to reward them for their good performance in their classes.

In order to gain the opportunity to potentially receive the TEAP scholarship, you will need to register to be part of a study that will seek to understand what effect the scholarship has on students’ achievement.  All eligible recipients that attend our TEAP workshop will have a 60% opportunity of being selected to receive this scholarship.

Sessions are completed, and new sessions are not scheduled at this time. For questions, please call Saundra Daniels at (440) 366-7662.
