One major model for the KLP is Howard University’s 2007 “Helping Hands” Campaign. This campaign was a creative three week strategic plan by the Howard University students and staff, which successfully raised $125,000 in 18 days.
Katrina Road to Washington Campaign:
- Internet/Youtube “Project K Campaign” (modeled after SCLC’s Project C)
- 25+ Colleges “Helping Hands” Campaigns
- Student Leadership Initiatives (Public Presentations)
“Reaching the Stars” Project (American Celebrities and Athletes)
