Computer Lab

The LCCC Learning Center Computer Lab serves a dual purpose: that of an Instructional Lab for various classes as well as a publicly accessible Open Lab during other scheduled times. This lab is comprised of 18 personal computer workstations which include the Microsoft Office Professional 2007 program suite and Internet access. The lab will be staffed with lab assistants, however these individuals are not computer tutors. At this time, tutoring services may be accessed at the main campus library (Academic Support Center). During the 20 hours of weekly "open lab" availability, individuals may use the computers on a first come-first serve basis. All lab users must present a current LCCC, University Partnership college, or Public Patron (LCCC Library) ID card to access the lab. Lab users are expected to follow guidelines posted in the lab or lab privileges may be lost.

Enrollment Services
The Enrollment Services Center serves as a "one-stop" for credit and non-credit students, whether they are potential, new or returning students. This one-step approach provides an array of enrollment services that include: admission, advising, counseling, registration, financial aid, and fee payment. Student Service Representatives and advising teams are prepared to provide not only general information, but Post Secondary Enrollment Options, Tech Prep, University Partnership, Veterans, English as a Second Language, and International student information as well. Call 440-233-7240.

Financial Services
A financial services assistant is available on site, during the hours the Connections Center is regularly open. This individual is able to assist with: applying for financial aid and scholarships, accepting non-cash payments including credit card payments (Visa, MasterCard, & Discover only), debit card payments as well as checks and money orders, and has information on how to apply for LCCC payment plans services as well. Call 440-366-4505.

Conference Room
On an ongoing basis, this room can be used for meetings by LCCC staff and faculty, and by LCCC partners. To reserve this room, contact Dina Ferrer at 366-4507 or by email at dferrer@lorainccc.edu

LCCC Distance Learning Classes
Distance learning classes are available through the Learning Center. Online courses can be accessed through the LCCC web page in the computer lab during open lab hours. Telecourse tapes and live interactive tapes can be played from the main campus to our new Lorain site through the ITFS (Instructional Television Fixed Service) channels during open class time. Many videos are made available for viewing through the new video cache from LCCC's Distance Learning link. The entire LCCC video library is only a phone call away through the use of the ITFS technology. Video conferencing is available in our new distance learning classroom for those who need teleconferencing capabilities, whether it is a meeting of the minds from several locations or adding CEUs from a professional source. Call Dina Ferrer at 440-366-4507
