The Social Sciences and Human Services division provides course work in disciplines which not only build academic skills, but also explore the relationships between people and the circumstances of their lives, both past and present.  The division provides students with a scientific perspective that guides them to a greater understanding of what it means to be truly human. To comprehend the complexities and diversities of life, such an understanding is vital. The division also offers course work, programs of study, and services that build a foundation for a life career in the service professions.

Social science careers are ideal for people who desire to use their skills and efforts to bring value to their communities. Varied career options, typically in public service, include social workers, urban planners, politicians, police and firefighters. With career in social sciences, you will help those around you and improve your community.
