LEARN ABOUT THE NEW GERONTOLOGY BACHELOR’S DEGREE AT LCCC’S UNIVERSITY PARTNERSHIP
The University Partnership of Lorain County Community College is pleased to announce a new bachelor's degree in Gerontology from Youngstown State University. Courses will begin in fall 2013.
An information session on the program will be held from 4-6 p.m., Monday, February 11 in room 115 of the University Center building. A representative from Youngstown State University will be available to answer questions.
The gerontology major prepares students for a career in the field of aging. The field of aging provides diverse occupational opportunities in health professions, nonprofit organizations, recreation and leisure, for profit businesses, education, research, government, and service providers. Settings include community, human service and religious organizations, government agencies, health and long-term care facilities, retirement communities, academic and research settings, business, industry, legal, and professional organizations.
