LCCC Financial Services Center
The Lorain County Community College Financial Services Center is a one-stop location where students can apply for financial aid including grants, loans and scholarships and make arrangements to pay their student account via the payment plan, credit card, or cash payment. The Financial Services Center is dedicated to assisting students in finding a way to pay for college.
Computers are available for student use in applying for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and online entrance loan counseling. Staff members are available for assistance with these online applications during office hours.
Federal Requirement Alert
Due to changes in federal requirements the Financial Services Center must now collect additional information and documentation from some students. All requests will be shown on your “To Do” list. It remains very important that you continue to check your MyCampus and LCCC email accounts for information and instructions.

Grants are free dollars given to college students by the U.S. Department of Education or the State of Ohio and are awarded on the basis of financial need. LCCC participates in both the Federal Pell Grant and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant programs. The application used to determine student's financial need and grant eligibility is the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This single application determines eligibility for all federal financial aid including the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), Federal Work Study and the Direct Student Loan Program. Therefore, all students who plan to attend LCCC and wish to apply for financial aid should complete the FAFSA on the Web at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. FAFSA on the Web Worksheets are available in the Financial Services Center.
Financial Aid Forms
If you would like to use your financial aid for books and other non-tuition expenses, you will need to “grant permission” in MyCampus and complete any other items that are outstanding in your checklist.

If the Bookstore staff is unable to see your financial aid, the Financial Services Center staff (located on the first floor of the Bass Library/Community Resource Center) will write students paper book slips to charge their textbooks to their available financial aid. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we are working hard to transition to our new system.
Remember you must purchase all required books before purchasing electronic devices such as laptops, PC’s, iPads, etc. Students are limited to only one electronic device per academic year.
