Reporting to the Associate Provost of Enrollment Management and Student Success, the Financial Services Manager is responsible for the overall operation and management of the Financial Services Center and staff including the cashiering function. The Manager is also responsible for; administration of all federal Title IV Financial Aid programs including Pell Grant, Federal Work Study, Federal Direct Student Loans, Federal Supplemental Opportunity Grants along with state and institutional aid and scholarship programs; overseeing the awarding and disbursing of all financial aid; ensuring state and federal regulatory audit compliance; maintaining Financial Services policies and procedures; and regulatory reporting including annual FISAP report, Gainful Employment, and updating the Program Participation Agreement. In addition, the incumbent will possess an in-depth working knowledge of all federal and state financial aid programs and will assist in planning, organizing, staffing and evaluation of all staff, functions, programs and services related to student financial aid and scholarship programs administered at Lorain County Community College.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and minimum of five years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial position in student financial aid; broad programmatic experience with student loans, Pell Grants, FSEOG, FWS, and state programs; expertise and experience in interpreting and applying federal and State of Ohio financial aid regulations (compliance) but be attentive to the detailed work involved in dispersing financial aid; prior experience with computer systems including financial aid software systems, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel; technical skills to enhance electronic systems; strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently; excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills; experience in financial aid presentations; and a student centered philosophy, ability to work cooperatively with internal and external partners. Experience with PeopleSoft is preferred.

Minimum starting salary range: $56,774 – $63,871
