How do I . . . find books using the library catalog?
LCCC Library Catalog indicates which books, journals, magazines & other materials the LCCC library owns. 
OhioLINK Catalog indicates which books are owned by members of OhioLINK, a consortium of academic libraries & the State Library of Ohio. Using the OhioLINK Catalog, students, faculty and staff of LCCC can request books from other libraries. More about OhioLINK Online Borrowing. 
Other Libraries provides links to local public libraries and WorldCat.
1. Start with the LCCC Library Catalog 
2. Decide what kind of search you need to do:
- Author
- Title
- Subject--based on the controlled terms in the Library of Congress Subject Headings.
- Keyword--use when you know only one or a few keywords in the title, subject, contents, etc.
3. Type your search words in the box. Note the examples on the screens.
4. Search Results
Pay attention to 3 pieces of information to find the item:

Location of the item on the shelves |
Is the item available? When the status is "check shelves," go find it! |
When a title list appears, click on the specific title to view the bibliographic record. Make note of the location, call number & status.
If your search appears highlighted in red on the screen, LCCC library does not have this item. Expand your search to the OhioLINK Catalog by clicking on the link to "OhioLINK Central" at the top of the screen.
