LCCC Library Copyright Compliance Statement
The U.S. Copyright Law imposes significant liabilities upon infringement of copyrighted work. The LCCC Library's Copyright Policy and Copyright web pages provide guidelines designed to promote compliance with the U.S. Copyright Law. Your cooperation and adherence to copyright law is essential if the LCCC Library is to provide access to course reserves without violating copyright law.
In accepting materials for course reserves, the LCCC Library assumes that the requestor is following the provisions of Fair Use in Section 107 of the U.S. Copyright Law.
Possible infringement of copyright law may include but is not limited to:
-
Using an article for more than one term. The first use of the item is considered in fair use. When using the material for subsequent semesters, permission must be obtained.
-
Using more than one article from a single issue of a journal.
-
Using more than one chapter from a book.
