LCCC Library Guidelines Regarding Fair Use of Copyrighted Materials for Education and Teaching

In the support of education and teaching at Lorain County Community College, the LCCC Library respects intellectual property and strives to comply at all times with United States Copyright law.

Copyright guidelines and standards, the fair use factors, and distance learning advancements are issues that affect everyone in an academic environment.  Copyright law protects authors, publishers, and the public.  The LCCC Library upholds copyright and fair use polices in the educational setting.

To see how copyright affects LCCC and University Partnership faculty and the library please refer to What is Copyright? and the Fair Use Information and Worksheet.  Additional web pages have been created to increase copyright knowledge and compliance.

The LCCC Library hopes that LCCC and University Partnership faculty, staff, and students find the online resources helpful and will take the time to become familiar with important legal copyright requirements.

The LCCC Library Copyright Compliance Statement should be signed prior to requesting reserve materials.

If you have further questions regarding copyright please contact Susan Paul at Ext. 7422 or copyright@lorainccc.edu.
