LCCC'S Kurt Anderson (Edison-Berlin Hts) finished T-10 after the Final Round of the NJCAA Div III National Golf Championship.  Anderson posted a tournament score of 299 (73-71-77-76).  The tournament medalist Chris Malec of Monroe Community College set new tournament scoring records for low round (66) and low tournament score (281).  Anderson was named NJCAA Division III All-American for his efforts.  Two Years ago, LCCC's Eric Polansky (Amherst) placed T-8 in the NJCAA Div III Golf Championship making Anderson the 2nd All-American produced at LCCC since golf was re-introduced as a "Intercollegiate Varsity Sport" in 2006.

LCCC's Kurt Anderson (Edison-Berlin Hts) posted a 77 today (73-71-77) in Third Round play.  Unfortunately, this moved Kurt back to a T-9 going into the last round of the NJCAA Div III National Golf Championships in Chautauqua, NY.  Scores were generally higher today because of wind and the increasingly faster conditions of the golf course.

LCCC's Kurt Anderson (Edison-Berlin Hts) posted a Second Round score of 1-under par 71 today in the NJCAA Division III Nat'l Golf Championship.  Kurt's 2-Round total of 144 is at even-par for the tournament and currently good for a T-3rd place.  The leader of the Tournament is at 137.  Today's weather was cool but the wind slowed and no rain developed.  The 3rd Round is on Thursday and the 72-hole tournament ends on Friday June 5.

LCCC student-athlete Kurt Anderson (Edison HS-Berlin Hts, OH) posted a First Round Score of 35-38 = 73.  All scoring was not complete at the time of this writing but it appeared Kurt was going to be tied for 5th place after today's 1rst round.  The NJCAA Div III Golf Championship is a 72-Hole Tournament which concludes on Friday June 5.  It was a cool 55 degrees at the start of the round.  Approximately 100 golfers from around the country are participating this week at Chautauqua Golf Club in Chautauqua, NY.
